Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is coming to Melrose Place. No time machine has been built, the series follows 90210’s lead in getting an update on the CW. The singer is returning to television after a four year hiatus to focus on her music career.
Simpson-Wentz will play Violet, a small-town girl who lands in LA with a secret. A secret that will probably be dramatic and overblown. You know, like something you’d see on a primetime soap opera. While the new Melrose isn’t a remake of the original, Simpson-Wentz’s character is much like Sandy Harling (Amy Locane).
