Bad News For Smith And Kidnapped

Most of the new shows have premiered already and now its time for the networks to study the ratings and determine which will stay, which will go and which need to be moved around in the schedule. NBC and CBS have all ready made some major decisions with regards to ‘Kidnapped’ and ‘Smith’.

According to TV.com, NBC decided to wrap production on ‘Kidnapped’ after they filmed the 13th episode. The show will be moved to Saturdays, starting October 21st and ‘Dateline’ will be moved to Wednesdays until the 13th and final episode of ‘Kidnapped’ airs. Meanwhile, CBS is yanking their new crime series ‘Smith’ from the schedule entirely. The drama, which starred Ray Liotta, has been cancelled after only three episodes.

Both shows did poorly with the ratings so its no real surprise that they’re being dropped. Competition for fall drama series has been steep this season. While ‘Smith’ and ‘Kidnapped’ have become early casualties in the ratings war, ’Heroes’ has been picked up for the entire season.
