Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome Clip Shows Young Adama's Viper Maneuvering Skills

Attention Battlestar Galactica fans! If you weren't already excited for the official launch of Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, perhaps the sight of a young Adama in the cockpit of a Viper and the sounds of warning signals, intense drumbeats and repeated use of the word "frak" will remind you of how much you love this series and want to see what Bill Adama was like when he was younger. The clip that's arrived online today features a little bit of all of that and should serve as a nice little appetizer for Part 1 of the movie, which is being delivered in installments as a webseries starting this week.

Earlier this week, we shared the news that the BSG-prequel movie (which was intended to be a TV pilot but didn't go to series) Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome was set to be released as a webseries beginning this Friday. It will follows Bill Adama during his younger years around the time of the first Cylon war. In just two days (November 9), the first part of the 7-part webseries will be posted online at Machinima Prime's YouTube channel. Here's a clip from Blood & Chrome, which gives us a look at what kind of pilot Adama is.

Watching his Viper maneuvering sort of explains why later-Adama was able to tolerate so many of Starbuck's ridiculous stunts. It's not difficult to picture her handling the situation similarly. Anything to get the job done!

Not only is watching the above clip making me excited to see Blood & Chrome, but I'm also in need of a re-watch of the original series.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome premieres online November 9.
