Californication Season 6, Shameless Season 3 And House Of Lies Season 2 Premiere Dates Set

Showtime has Dexter and Homeland on deck to return later this month, but those hoping to know when they'll catch a sight of Hank Moody, Marty Kaan or the Gallaghers are in luck! The good news is, the dates have been set for the return of Californication, House of Lies and Shameless. Of course, we still have a few more months to wait for their premieres.
Showtime made the announcement today that all three series will return next January on the same night. First up is Shameless, which premieres its third season on January 13, 2013 at 9:00 p.m. (Vague spoilers) Season 3 has the Gallaghers "each seeking their own unique version of the 'American Dream.'" Jimmy and Fiona are living together at the Gallagher house, but it sounds like things might not as perfect as Fiona hoped. Speaking of Emmy Rossum's character, she also "soon realizes that a GED will only get her so far." Could she be looking to further her education? Meanwhile, William H. Macy's Frank ends up in Mexico somehow, with no memory of how he got there. Didn't he wake up in Canada once?
Next up is House of Lies, which debuts its second season the same night (January 13) at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The series follows Don Cheadle's character Marty Kaan as he leads his team of hotshots at a management consulting firm. According to Showtime, "this season, The Pod – especially Marty and Jeannie – must deal with the fall-out from the big merger showdown. Meanwhile, Marty is thrown by the arrival of a new ‘frenemy’ at work and by Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.), who decides to move in with his lunatic mother, Monica (Dawn Olivieri)." Season 1 took a little while to grow on me, but I'm planning to tune in again to see where things pick up for Season 2.
And finally, the return of Hank Moody! Californication is back for Season 6 on January 13 at 10:30 p.m. Maggie Grace has signed on to appear in nine episodes of the sixth season, playing "the infamous rock groupie Faith, who develops an unconventional relationship with Hank." Hank seems to be a fan of unconventional relationships, and her rock-groupie status sounds like his cup of tea also. Also set to appear in Season 6 is Grace's Lost co-star Jorge Garcia, who will appear in two episodes as someone from Faith's past. Garcia and Grace aren't the only newcomers to the series either…
nternational comedy star Tim Minchin takes on the role of Atticus Fetch, a mad-as-a-hatter rock star who will write the music for the Broadway production of Hank’s hit novel. Fetch enlists the ever-cynical Hank to collaborate on the project, which he calls “…a rock opera about love conquering all.” Notorious rocker Marilyn Manson will also make a guest appearance.
From the guest stars alone, it sounds like we're in for another wild ride this season!
