There are plenty of ways to gear up for the second half of Season 5 of AMC’s hit series Breaking Bad. One way is to gorge yourself on all of the episodes leading up to the final eight, which will hit the schedule in August. Or, if you are wanting to channel your inner Heisenberg, you can head over to Facebook where the hatmakers Goorin Brothers have put together and are giving away a svelt 100% American Made Wool hat of the ilk that Heisenberg frequently rocks out.
The giveaway has been in full swing for a couple of days, but if that black hat is right up your alley, you have a few more days to enter the competition. The rules are pretty simply. You have to like the Goorin Brothers page on Facebook and fill out a little form in order to try to win the hat. The giveaway is limited to one entry per person and you must be over 18 years old in order to throw your hat into the ring, figuratively speaking. If you can manage to follow those basic directions, you may end up with this beauteous hat when the winner is announced on August 5.
Honestly, that hat is pretty cool, but I really wish someone would give away the incredibly life-like mask Bryan Cranston wore at Comic-Con of his Heisenberg character. That thing is so professional-looking that you have to blink twice to make certain it’s an actual mask. Hilariously, Cranston actually unveiled himself as the man behind the Heisenberg mask during the Breaking Bad Comic-Con panel. He didn’t have the epic Goorin Brothers hat, but you can catch photos of the mask from >the event.
We’ve known Breaking Bad has been gearing up for its final season for a while. AMC has been good about giving fans teasers for Season 5.5, which only serves to show us the bittersweet fact that we are close to the beginning of the end. My favorite is this one of Dean Norris’ Hank showing his angry eyes as he drives behind the wheel, coming to the realization that things in his family may not be as simple as they seem.
Walter White and Jesse Pinkman will get up to their usual hijinks when Breaking Bad returns to the schedule on August 11. If you live in the U.K. or Ireland, you’ll get Season 5.5 episodes just one day after the intial airdate in the U.S., so don’t go peeking at spoiler alerts.
Amazing Race & Top Chef superfan with a pinch of Disney fairy dust thrown in. If you’ve created a rom-com I’ve probably watched it.
