The Closer Closes The Deal On A Third Season

Fans of the TNT series, ‘The Closer’ will be happy to know that the show has been picked up by the network for a third season. After the second season premiered with the highest ratings in basic cable history, the show had little to fear with regards to cancellation. The cop drama starring Kyra Sedgwick broke records with 8.3 million viewers tuning in for the first episode of the second season.

For those unfamiliar with 'The Closer', Sedgwick plays Brenda Johnson, a woman from Atlanta who works in a Los Angeles Police Department as a detective. She’s great at getting into the minds of criminals and uses that to her advantage when solving crimes.

Sedgwick’s success in the show puts her on the list of film stars who’ve made the successful transition from the big screen to the small screen. ‘The Closer’ has been a success since its premiere in June of 2005.
