If the wait for Community to return has been hard on you, the show has released a little something to tide you over. Joel McHale offers his holiday greetings and a special clip to fans of Community with a reminder that the return of the comedy is just over a month away.

McHale introduces the short clip while standing by a purple tree, reminding viewers that Season 4 of Community will begin on February 7th, 2013. The short, never-before-seen clip is presented as Community’s holiday gift to viewers, which is a notably better choice for a gift than the basket of kittens Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) hands out to a stunned group. The look on Joel McHale’s face in particular is priceless as he is handed one of two kittens, named Jeffrey.

Community’s return to NBC has not only been long-awaited, but much discussed. The show will return minus showrunner Dan Harmon, a decision that shocked fans and has left many wondering if the decision will change the series. Last month, it was also announced that Chevy Chase will be leaving the show, which really comes as less of a shock considering some of the past comments Chase has made about the show. Season 4 will still feature Chase’s character, Pierce, however, as most of the episodes had already been filmed when he decided to leave. How the changes will affect the show is yet to be seen, but we're still glad that one of our top comedies of 2012 will be back on the air soon.

Community will air on February 7th, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
