Community Preview: Season 3, Episode 5 - Horror Fiction In Seven Spooky Steps

Community last week was amazing. It got back to super smart, intricate and reference filled hilarious form. The time, effort and insanity that must have gone into crafting the seven piece puzzle that we now know as "Remedial Chaos Theory" (you can watch all the time lines unfold at once here) is astounding. No wonder they took a week off because it seems that they are back on structurally complex form with this week's Halloween influenced, "Horror Fiction is Seven Spooky Steps."

You can always (hope) to expect that series will pull out all the stops for their Halloween episodes. The Simpsons was always a favorite, producing amazing "Treehouse of Horror" episodes year after year (and maybe the only episode of the new seasons that I choose to watch) but Community, in just two short seasons, has delivered big time on the scary laughs. Scaughs. The first season had Jeff party-hopping in hopes of picking up his Statistics Professor. The second stepped it way up with the Zombie apocalypse at Greendale. This season?

It seems like the show will once again play off of the multiple storyline structure that made "Remedial Chaos Theory" so interesting and inventive, only this time it will be structured around 'campfire-style' horror stories, that is, after or during Britta's seemingly lame pre-Halloween, Halloween party. The first two clips seem to follow each other and showcase the lackluster party and Jeff's usual too cool for schoolness, with him decked out in Fast and Furious gear.
