It’s been announced that Denis O’Hare is set to co-star in drama pilot American Horror Story. Details on the FX project are slim, but considering O’Hare’s performance as Russell on True Blood was easily one of the best things about Season 3 of the HBO vampire drama, American Horror Story is sounding even more interesting.

In addition to True Blood, O’Hare’s played a recurring role on the CBS drama series The Good Wife. Deadline reported the news, stating that O’Hare is set to co-star opposite Connie Britton in American Horror Story. There hasn’t been any official synopsis released for the FX pilot, but it’s being executive produced by Glee’s Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, along with Dante Di Loreto. Britton will play the wife of a sensitive therapist named Ben. She’s described as a “force to be reckoned with in spite of her vulnerable demeanor.”

O’Hare’s character is Larry, who is also known as “Larry the burn guy.” What exactly “the burn guy” thing means is unclear but based on his excellent performance in True Blood, we know O’Hare’s fully capable of playing up the creepy. Who knows if that’ll come in handy with this part?
