Looking forward to the second episode of the new season of Dexter? We have some clips from the episode to share with you along with a video featuring one of the writers as he talks about the season premiere.

If you caught Sunday night's episode of Dexter, you might be wondering what was going on in the writers' heads when they put together some of the key scenes. The video below features Chip Johannessen, the man behind the brilliant Season 5 premiere episode. He has some pretty interesting things to say about Dexter’s behavior. The Sho Runner video doesn't contain any information about future episodes or spoilers (unless you haven't seen the Season 5 premiere).

In his new role as single father, an anxious Dexter tries to get his family’s routine back on track, to begin the process of moving on from Rita’s death. Dexter attempts to focus all his attention on the kids while curbing his dark urges. But when evidence of foul play falls into his lap, Dexter makes a horrific discovery, setting him on the trail of his next victim. Debra, trying to be the good sister, shares her apartment with Dexter and the kids only to find there’s no room for her. She unhappily finds herself on Quinn’s doorstep. Miami Metro has their work cut out when a grisly scene is found in a Venezuelan neighborhood.


The episode features a guest appearance by Shawn Hatosy (The Faculty, Southland).
