First Look At Starz' Upcoming Series Camelot

April 1st is still a few months away but for those of you looking forward to the premiere of Starz’s new series Camelot, the pay-cable network released a first-look video that’ll give you a few glimpses of the series and the cast.
You may notice a few familiar faces in the video below, including Joseph Fiennes (FlashForward, Shakespeare In Love) and Claire Forlani (Mallrats). Arthur is played by Jamie Campbell Bower. Die-hard Twilight fans may recognize him from his role in New Moon as Caius Volturi (He’ll resume that role in the second part of Breaking Dawn). Bower also played Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
After watching the video Starz released, it would be impossible to ignore just how pretty this cast is, but don’t take my word for it. Check out the video below and further down are some details about the plot.
In the wake of King Uther’s sudden death, chaos threatens to engulf Britain. When the sorcerer Merlin has visions of a dark future, he installs the young and impetuous Arthur, Uther’s unknown son and heir, who has been raised from birth as a commoner. But Arthur’s cold and ambitious half sister Morgan will fight him to the bitter end, summoning unnatural forces to claim the crown in this epic battle for control. These are dark times indeed for the new King, with Guinevere being the only shining light in Arthur’s harsh world. Faced with profound moral decisions, and the challenge of uniting a kingdom broken by war and steeped in deception, Arthur will be tested beyond imagination. Forget everything you think you know…this is the story of Camelot that has never been told before. The 10-episode epic drama redefines the classic medieval tale of King Arthur with an exciting ensemble cast including Joseph Fiennes reimagining the iconic role of Merlin, Jamie Campbell Bower as the young and reckless Arthur, and Eva Green in her television debut as the darkly powerful Morgan. The character-driven series also features Tamsin Egerton (Guinevere), Claire Forlani (Igraine) and Peter Mooney (Kay).
Camelot premieres Friday, April 1st at 10 pm ET/PT on Starz.
