One of the recent promos for the upcoming fourth season of Glee showed us New Directions singing a certain over-played summer pop hit. Those who don't want to wait until the season premiere airs tomorrow night can now watch the entire song being performed.

Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" was one of the more popular pop hits of the summer months, to put it mildly. It inspired numerous covers, and naturally, Glee wouldn't be left out of that mix. The New Directions cover of the tune was used in a recent trailer, but now we have the video of the full performance. It looks like it might be an audition of some sort. Artie is in the audience and a number of New Directions vets are on stage singing. Blane is up there, as is Glee newcomer Alex Newell (of The Glee Project), who's set to play Wade.

Are any of these people destined to be "The New Rachel"? That's the title of the season premiere, and while I think the phrase has something to do with Rachel's fresh start in New York, it also seems like there's a good possibility it refers to the hopes of the remaining New Directions students that they might rise up and fill Rachel's spot as the unofficial star of the group. It certainly looked like they were all trying to position themselves front and center on that stage, particularly toward the end of the number.

Glee Season 4 premieres Thursday, September 13 at 9/8c on Fox.
