Subscribe To Glee Season 4 Premiere Watch: The New Rachel Updates
In last night's season 4 premiere, we see what life is like post-graduation and nationals win for our current and former McKinley High students. Let's recap, shall we?

New Directions is the shizzle

Thanks to New Directions' nationals win, our Glee club is more popular than ever. In fact, Unique (love him!!) has even transferred from Vocal Adrenaline to New Directions.

However Glee Club's popularity is tenuous. And we see the members conforming to fit in with the mean girls/boys. Tina has dumped Mike post-tattoo, Trouty Pout has a huge ego, and Artie even advises Unique to tone down the makeup (boo!) and joins in on making fun of the kind, but overweight lunch lady. OMG what happened to you, Glee kids?

Glee Club Tryouts

In tonight's episode we get newcomers Marley, daughter of the lunch lady, and Jake, who just happens to be Puck's half-brother, to fill the empty Glee slots left by our graduates.

And the big question looming on everyone's minds is now that Rachel is gone, who is the new Rachel? In true Glee fashion, Wade/Unique, Tina, Brittany and Blaine competed, in a sing-off judged by Artie, to the tune of "Call Me Maybe." Blaine was declared winner. Holla!

Cassandra July

Meanwhile in NYC, Kate Hudson debuts as Cassandra July, Rachel's NYADA dance instructor. An "alchy" with impressive dance moves, Cassie does not like Rachel one bit. Looks like our Miss Berry is going to have to grow some thicker than slushy splashed skin. Hmmm who else would like to see down the road our favorite Will Schuester former boozy flame April Rhodes (Kristin Chenoweth) and Cassie team up? It would be an amazing duet!

Brody? Wait, what's up with Finchel?

Last season we ended with the break-up of 'gasp' Finchel. Now in New York, Rachel hasn't heard from Finn in two months! So who could blame her for bonding with a fellow moisturizing lovin' junior named Brody? (Why is it whenever I hear the name Brody I always think of "The Hills" Brody Jenner?) It's early, but I'm interested to see if Brody will be Rachel's rebound. I just hope it doesn't end badly like when Sunnydale freshman Buffy banged Parker and was rejected afterwards.

Sue has her baby and crowns a "New Quinn"

Like all good television shows, Sue Sylvester quickly gestates an infant in less than nine months. She names her daughter Robin, after her favorite Bee Gee. How apropos.

And it looks like we won't be seeing much of Quinn (if at all) this season. Not to fret though, Quinn 2.0 a.k.a. Kitty is a leaner, meaner version of Quinn, much to Sue's delight. And here's to hoping Unique gets slushy revenge soon on the bitchy Cheerio.

Kurt and Rachel together again!

It looked like Kurt was doomed to community college, but after Blaine encouraged our favorite Hummel to head to Manhattan, besties Rachel and Kurt were reunited! Eeee!!

LOL Moments

Cassie calling Rachel "Little Miss David Schwimmer." After years of watching Friends, I can kind of see how Rachel Berry could pass for Ross' sister (even more so than Monica). I also enjoyed the Johnny Depp "Wino Forever" nod, with Tina changing her "Mike Chang Forever" tattoo to "make change forever."

Memorable quotes

Schuester: "I knew your brother, Jake. Puckerman." Jake: "Half brother. Our dad's like an NBA player. There could be 50 other Puckerman's running around Ohio."

Burt: "All great artists need a little struggle in their lives. Didn't you tell me that Julia Roberts sold shoes in New York before she made it? Good enough for Pretty Woman, good enough for Kurt Hummel."

Cassie: "What's your name?" Rachel: "Rach..." Cassie: "Little Miss David Schwimmer?" Rachel: "Little Miss David Schwimmer."

Rachel: "The co-ed bathrooms take some getting used to. I got tired of everyone's opinion of my extensive night time ritual so I started showering at 3 in the morning when no one else is around."

Cassie: "I bet you were a big star back in...Iowa." Rachel: "I'm actually from Ohio." Cassie: "Ohio? That's even worse."

Wade: "Make no mistake. Unique will be the new Rachel." Blaine: "We decide this on our own then, Thunderdome style."
