Glee’s mid-season hiatus will end soon enough, and the Fox musical drama will return with a guest appearance by White Collar’s Matt Bomer. But before that, series creator Ryan Murphy and some of the cast will appear on Bravo’s Inside the Actors Studio to discuss the inner-workings of the series with series host James Lipton. Catch a preview of the episode ahead!

In this first video, Ryan Murphy discusses the creation of the series, which leads him toward the topic of Jane Lynch’s character, Sue Sylvester and selling Lynch on the part.

?Apparently the description worked, and it’s a good thing too, as Lynch’s character (and the hilarity she brings to the role) is arguably the best thing about the series.

In this one, Murphy and the cast talk a little bit about how the script comes together. Interestingly enough, it seems like the cast gets a fair amount of input into where things are going for their characters.

It’s hard to tell how serious they are about Murphy’s mood toward the actors affecting the characters, but it seems like it does, at least to some extent.

?Here’s a photo of the panel, which features Matthew Morrison, Ryan Murphy, Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and Lea Michelle.

The Glee episode of Inside the Actors Studio airs Monday, April 9 at 8:00 p.m. on Bravo.
