NBC Cuts Love Bites Episode Order

As if being moved from the fall season line-up to midseason isn’t a bad enough sign for NBC’s upcoming new series Love Bites, now it seems the network is looking to trim down their initial episode order.

Love Bites is an hour-long romantic comedy that centers on three different relationship stories, all of which are loosely connected. Among the cast is Becki Newton (Ugly Betty), Greg Grunberg (Heroes, Alias), and Constance Zimmer (Entourage).

According to the Hollywood Reporter, NBC has reduced its initial order of thirteen episodes to nine. Their sources say NBC is only cutting the order to make room for other midseason content. I guess that’s supposed to be reassuring. As a fan of Newton and Grunberg from their previous work, I'd love to see this show work out. NBC doesn't seem to be making it a high priority, which really doesn't look good for the show at this point.
