While 'Grey's Anatomy' fans are still scratching their heads over the recent casting change made to the new ABC spin-off, 'Private Practice,' 'Girlmore Girls' fans will be pleased to learn that the dreamy Scott Patterson has joined the cast of the new CW series, 'Aliens in America.' Meanwhile, Taraji P. Henson was recenly brought on board ABC's hit legal series, 'Boston Legal.'

It was announced last week that Merrin Dungey ('Alias') was replaced by the Tony award winning actress, Audra McDonald in the new ABC 'Grey's Anatomy' spin-off, 'Private Practice'.

This week, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Patterson, best known for his role as Luke Danes in the recently cancelled series, 'Gilmore Girls,' will join the cast of the new show, 'Aliens in America.' Patterson will play the father in a Christian family that takes in a 16-year-old Pakistani Muslim exchange student.

Earlier last month, it was announced that a number of 'Boston Legal' characters were written off the show. Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Taraki P. Henon (Hustle & Flow) will be joining the cast of 'Legal' as a series regular. The site also stated that 'Boston Legal' veterans Mark Valley and Rene Auberjonois as well as Saffron Burrows and Gail O'Grady will appear in "mulitple episodes" when the fourth season resumes this fall.
