Some of us still haven’t recovered from the passing of Arrested Development, so the announcement of a new multicamera Fox sitcom from AD exec producer Ron Howard is cold comfort at best. Still, we’ll always have our DVD sets, so let’s all be happy for Ron and try to move on with our lives as best we can. Sniff.

Based on an idea by Howard, the show’s script is being written by Brent Forrester, who penned such Office episodes as “Blood Drive” and “Business Trip.” The Hollywood Reporter says it’s a workplace comedy about IRS agents, and apparently it must have knocked Fox’s socks off, because the network snatched it up before it could be pitched anywhere else.
