Showtime's anticipated free preview weekend just took place, and included the season premieres of Shameless, House of Lies and Californication. Not only was the pay cable channel gracious enough to time the returns of three of their shows with a couple of days of complimentary service, but they've also made a couple of the premieres available online. Check out the Season 3 premiere of Shameless ahead!
Adapted by John Wells, based on a British series by Paul Abbott, Shameless stars William H. Macy as the patriarch of a Chicago family struggling to get by and willing to bend (or break) the rules to pay the bills and survive. Part drama, part comedy, the Gallaghers aren't like any other family on television, which is part of what makes Shameless such a fun and unpredictable series.
Season 3 picks up with Frank gone and Fiona (Emmy Rossum) taking care of things at home as usual. Only she has a little extra help from Jimmy, who seems to have become the house nanny. Watch the full (but edited for content) episode below.
The Season 3 premiere had a little bit of everything, with Fiona shoveling sewage, Jimmy witnessing a very violent situation, Lip using his brains to build robots and Frank figuring out a way how to get out of Mexico. They may not be the most upstanding citizens, but you have to love the Gallaghers. It looks like things are set up for even more drama in this household (and elsewhere) this season!
Speaking of which, here's a glimpse at next Sunday's episode, which shows Frank getting in Ian's face….
Shameless airs Sundays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Showtime.
