Sons Of Anarchy Gets A Second Season

We’ve got good news for Sons of Anarchy fans! The FX drama series has officially been picked up for a second season. FX announced the news also stating that the series is the most successful show “in delivery of adults 18-49” since Rescue Me.

Sons of Anarchy is currently in its first season with eight episodes still yet to air on FX. It stars Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman and follows a motorcycle gang in southern California. Their lives are full of drama, violence, and criminal activity but at the end of the day, they’re a family. Right now the series is averaging 3.5 million adults (ages 18-49). FX president John Landgraf made the announcement, stating, “It’s incredibly gratifying to everyone at FX in at this time when The Shield – the show that got our critically acclaimed original programming brand started – is airing its final season, their loyal audience has embraced Sons of Anarchy and made it a success.”

I’ve fallen behind on SoA but from the episodes I did see, I do think this series has a lot of potential. It’s good to see that FX has enough faith in it to keep it around and let it find its legs.

Sons of Anarchy airs on Wednesdays at 10:00 PM on FX.
