The Tudors' Back For Year Three

Jonathan Rhys Meyers isn’t who anyone would think of for the role of Henry the VIII, but he is rocking the role of the historical figure on Showtime’s The Tudor’s. The unlikely Henry is doing such a phenomenal job, that Showtime just renewed the show for it’s third season.

This news probably isn't exciting for the actress who plays Anne Boleyn, but for the rest of the cast who don’t have a beheading in their immediate future, it’s great! Showtime is currently planning on running the show through all of Henry’s six wives, which means they’ve got a ways to go if Anne is still alive.

Yahoo News is reporting that Showtime is rather impressed with the show. “`The Tudors' is now a fixture for us at Showtime and we're on our way to completing the entire saga of all six wives of Henry VIII," Robert Greenblatt, the premium channel's president of entertainment, said in announcing the series' pickup.
