Veep Poster: The Buck Stops Somewhere Near Here

In a little over a month, HBO is set to premiere the new comedy series Veep, which has Julia Louis Dreyfus back on the small screen yet again in another starring role that may be prove to be right up her alley. Yesterday, we shared a glimpse of a making-of feature for the comedy that’s set to air on HBO in the coming weeks. Today we have a poster to share with you!
Veep stars Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, a former senator who’s now the vice president. The series is set to premiere on HBO on April 22 at 10:00 p.m. Unlike the previous poster, which was mostly words, but did hint at where Selina Meyer falls among the other recent vice presidents, this one gives us a look at her, dressed in red, with a U.S. flag pinned to her lapel, and poised to work...

“The buck stops somewhere near here,” the tagline says in a sort of non-committal tone.
I love the sort of smirk she has on Dreyfus’ face.
The more I see of this comedy, the more interested I am in watching it. Dreyfus’ appeal certainly doesn’t hurt, nor does the thought that she might manage to top her previous roles (including Seinfeld) with this one, if the writing lives up to the potential of the premise. We’ll have to see how it works out when the series debuts in April. ?
