Veronica Mars And One Tree Hill Creators Back To Work On CW

From the sound of these upcoming projects, it looks as though The CW may have some worth-watching shows on the horizon. What’s more, Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas and One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwann are among the people involved with some of these new series.

The way I see it, the CW is all about hot people. Sure, that could be said for most TV shows and the networks that host them but if there’s one recurring theme in all of the CW’s series, it’s that everyone’s exceptionally good looking and usually under the age of 25. From the looks of these new series being developed, all will fit in on the network as long as the casts meet the model-looks status.

The Hollywood Reporter posted information on some projects The CW has in development for next season. Among them are:

Confessions of a Backup Dancer - (aka Hot People That Dance At Concerts) - The L Word’s Ilene Chaiken is writing and exec-producing for this series, along with Les Morgenstein and Bob Levy. Confessions is a drama series adapted from a book that follows a major pop-tour from the perspective of the back-up dancers.

Nashville - (AKA Hot People That Sing And Write Songs)- One Tree Hill’s Mark Schwann is working on this one along with country star Brad Paisley and Neal Dodson. The series takes place in Music City USA and follows a young, aspiring female singer and a male songwriter.

Schwann is apparently also developing another series about a spy school for girls (which I'll personally title "Hot Girls That Spy" until we get more info on the show).

Plymouth Rock - (AKA Hot People In Space) - This new series is being developed by Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas and follows a group of young people aboard a spaceship headed for a distant planet where they’re meant to colonize and procreate. Thomas will write and exec-produce the series along with Danielle Stokdyk, Jennifer Gwartz and Dan Etheridge.

The March Sisters - (AKA Hot People In The City) - Jill Gordon is writing this project, which is described as Sex and the City meets Little Women. Is anyone else disturbed by that concept? The drama will follow a group of working-class siblings as they try to get by on Park Avenue.
