"Things that are in comics should never exist in real life. I feel really uncomfortable here, frankly," Robert Kirkman says, while standing in the prison setting of the upcoming third season of The Walking Dead. As the man behind the comic series, it seems fitting that Kirkman should be the one to give us a tour of the prison set, which is what he does in this new video. Check it out ahead and get an early look at the place Rick and some of the other survivors will be visiting this season!

We're going into the third season of the TV adaptation of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comics, and he still doesn't seem to be used to seeing his story brought to life for the show. In this behind-the-scenes video, Kirkman discusses his memory of writing the prison part of the story years ago, and then he takes us on a little tour of the set, giving us a look at some of the interiors and exteriors.

Scuzzy mattresses, fake-nasty toilets and lots of bars! Seems about right for an abandoned (kind of?) prison.

The set appeared to be walker-free, but something tells me that won't be the case when Rick and his people come upon the place.

The Walking Dead Season 3 premieres Sunday, October 14 at 9pm ET/PT on AMC.
