13 Shows NBC Should Be Embarrassed About Canceling

As a TV network that has existed for over 70 years, NBC has expectedly and understandably brought an end to plenty of shows that fans were pissed to see leaving. Here are 13 series that were too good to ever get canceled, much less canceled so early into their runs. And yes, Matthew Perry shows up.

Revolution Plans To Wrap Up Its Story, Get The Details

When NBC ended the run of its sci-fi action drama, Revolution a year ago, it was a heartbreaking, though expected expiration. While efforts to get the series revived and relocated will likely never occur, it appears that the property, itself will live on in a new form.

How To Watch How I Met Your Mother Season 9 And Two More Great Shows That Just Started Streaming

We hope everyone is still alive and okay after Fall TV’s first official premiere week. When you’re not catching up on broadcasts, head over to streaming for the best new options this week had to offer, including what I’m already calling one of the best shows of the year. Big talk.

Revolution And Two More Dramas Canceled By NBC

Today is a big but mostly bad day for fans of NBC’s programming. Community has reportedly already failed to reach its goal of six seasons and a movie and now it seems there is more bad news on the NBC front. Word on the street is that Revolution and two more dramas have all been flushed out of the NBC lineup. (Good news for Hannibal fans though!)

Revolution Ratings Way Down In Season 2 Premiere

Last night, NBC’s ratings darling from last year, Revolution, premiered its second season on the network. Today’s ratings came in and they weren’t particularly pretty for the post-electricity drama, which came in fourth place during its brand new timeslot. This means the show got beat by ABC’s comedy block, CBS’ Survivor, and Fox’s The X Factor.

ABC Comedy Gets Back In The Game Tonight, Modern Family, The Middle And More Return

After a night of numerous series premieres on Tuesday, tonight's TV is going easy on us, at least when it comes to new shows debuting, with just one new comedy joining the line-up, along with a slew of returning shows, including ABC comedies The Middle and Modern Family. We also have the return of South Park, Revolution and Nashville!

Streaming Watch: 12 Great TV Shows Currently Available On Netflix

It's at this point in the summer that you're either too busy with summer fun to have time for television, or you're sunburnt and sick of barbecue and looking for some alone time, just you and your Netflix. The thing is, Netflix is like a virtual buffet. The thought of feasting on all of the goodies is exciting, but a little bit overwhelming.

Revolution 2013 Comic-Con Panel Live Blog

Revolution’s panel at Comic-Con has been titled “Special Video Presentation and Q&A”. What exactly that means is anyone’s guess. We could be getting the entire first episode of Season 2. We could be getting a 2 minute trailer. We could be getting a deleted scene from Season 1. We don’t have the slightest idea what the hell is going to happen, but we will be there. So, the second we find out, we’ll let you know via this live blog, as well as the answers to the Q&A questions.

Warner Bros.' 2013 Comic-Con Bags Are Backpacks And Have Capes

Capes are back! Or they will be at Comic-Con this year. Someone tell Edna ("No capes!"). Warner Bros. unveiled the official 2013 Comic-Con bags and they come with detachable capes. That, added to the announcement that the bags are fashioned like a backpack this year causes me some mild concern that many of us may feel compelled to run while wearing it, as such a compulsion can arise when wearing a cape.

Revolution, Community, Grimm, The Blacklist And Seth Meyers Headed To SDCC

Names involved with each of the above shows will be in attendence, including Spader, but also Megan Boone, Hugh Dancy, David Giuntoli, Silas Weir Mitchell, and a star-studded Community panel featuring Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Ken Jeong, and Dan Harmon, who recently returned to the series as showrunner. SNL and soon-to-be late night host Seth Meyers is also set to appear at the Hulu panel

Revolution Adds Jessica Collins And Patrick Heusinger For Season 2

NBC’s Revolution is one of only a couple of the network’s freshman series that escaped the scrap heap at the end of the spring season. Now that Revolution is absolutely and certainly returning for a second season at the network, casting is underway. The drama following life after electricity has signed on Patrick Heusinger and Jessica Collins for Season 2.

NBC Fall 2013 Premiere Dates Set

Earlier this week, CBS showed us their Fall 2013 TV premiere schedule. Today, NBC has followed suit, laying out the premiere dates for their new and returning series this fall, including the return of The Voice, Grimm and Revolution, as well as new series Dracula, The Michael J. Fox Show, The Blacklist and Sean Saves the World

Supernatural, Arrow, Revolution And Other WB TV Shows Set For Comic Con, Preview Night Screenings Announced

Warner Bros. Television Group has had a pretty sizable presence at Comic Con in San Diego in recent years, and this year is no exception. The studio announced the 17 series that will be present at SDCC this year, including the new dramas that will be screened during preview night. Those SDCC attendees there for Preview Night (Wed. July 17) and looking for an escape from the crowds, excitement and loot being offered on the convention center floor can head upstairs to Ballroom 20...

Revolution Season 1 Will Hit Blu-ray And DVD In September

NBC’s Revolution only ended its first season last Monday, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has wasted no time announcing the hit show’s Season 1 Blu-ray and DVD set. While we already know we’ll be getting a Blu-ray jam-packed with more than 90 minutes of bonus features, fans of the series or those waiting to catch up will still have a while to wait to purchase the series on Blu-ray and DVD. Revolution: The Complete First Season will be released on September 3.

NBC 2013-2014 Schedule Moves Parenthood, Revolution And Chicago Fire, New Series Added

A day ahead of their upfront presentation, NBC has posted their 2013-2014 schedule, which lays out where most of the new and returning series will air throughout the week come next fall. A few notable schedule changes appear to be taking place, including a move to Wednesdays for Revolution and a shift to Thursdays for Parenthood. Absent from the list is Community, but NBC did include it among the scripted series confirmed to return, so it will be back. It's just a matter of when.

Revolution Watch: Episode 15 - Home

With the continual slide from slightly decent to bad after the long hiatus, Revolution reaches a new low with a filler episode that could have easily been cut since none of the events really mattered. They may have to the characters, but considering the characters have stopped being people the viewer can really care about thanks to poor writing, we are left asking, “why should we care about these events that don’t move the main story forward?”

Cult Creator Rockne S. O'Bannon Will Executive Produce Revolution In Season 2

Just a couple of days after NBC renewed its hit freshman drama, Revolution, the series is adding a big name to its executive producer cast. Farscape’s Rockne S. O’Bannon has signed on as an executive producer for Season 2 of the hit series, which will premiere on NBC next fall. Additionally, CSI: New York’s Trey Calloway will be taking on a role as a co-executive producer for next season.

Parenthood, Grimm, Revolution And 2 More Dramas Renewed At NBC

Whether or not the lights come back on in Revolution remains to be seen, but either way, NBC won't be turning the lights out on this series anytime soon. Revolution was among the five dramas NBC renewed today for next season. Also set to return are Grimm, Parenthood, Chicago Fire, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Revolution Watch: Episode 14 - The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia

Silly Revolution. The lights went out in Georgia long before tonight, so you might want to put more thought into your titles. Goodness knows they rarely make sense in relation to the episode. Now something like, “The Militia Went Down To Georgia, It Was Looking For Some Souls to Steal,” is something I can get behind, even if it is a little wordy.

Preempted Revolution Episode Rescheduled For Next Week, Finale Pushed To June

For the most part, on network television, it was business as usual last night, with most of the regularly scheduled programs airing as planned. But due to the Boston Marathon bombings yesterday, NBC opted to preempt the planned episode of Revolution and air a news special featuring Brian Williams at 10:00 p.m. instead. We were left to wonder how the network would fix this last-minute bit of re-scheduling. Would they find another time to air the episode between now and next Monday?
