Terminator: Genesis Has Started Production
It all starts here. We have been waiting four years since the last installment of the Terminator franchise, and while the anticipated sequel won't be out until next year, today the project made a very important step forward.

James Cameron Admits He Pretty Much Hates Those Other Terminator Movies
You know what would be magical? If Cameron could direct Arnold in one more Terminator movie. To bring the series to proper closure. Can they get Cameron out of Pandora long enough to possibly helm a future (and final) Terminator movie? We can always hope.

Terminator: Genesis Adds G.I. Joe's Byung-hun Lee And Two More
The three new stars join a solid cast that will feature Arnold Schwarzenegger back as T-800, Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as John Conner and Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese. Okeniyi will be playing the son of Miles Dyson (the Cyberdyne executive played by Joe Morton in Terminator 2: Judgement Day) and Simmons will be playing a new character described as an alcoholic detective who has been following Sarah Connor's case for years.

Terminator Producers Want To Shoot 2 Movies In A Row
Brash overconfidence might not be a new trend in Hollywood, but from a studio/ producing perspective it certainly is. We’re all very familiar with actors and directors blathering on about how brilliant and Earth-shattering their upcoming films will be, but only recently have producers started investing large pools of money on laying the groundwork for sequels on the assumption that their movies will be hits.

Terminator: Genesis Adds Dayo Okeniyi In Final Lead Role
Who is Miles Dyson? You might remember, in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, that Dyson (played by Joe Morton) was the scientist who helped in the creation of Cyberdyne Systems and, eventually, SkyNet.

Terminator: Genesis Considering Adding Attack The Block's John Boyega
It has been revealed that young star is now being considered to play the son of Miles Dyson in the upcoming sci-fi reboot. Fans of the franchise will remember that Dyson was played by Joe Morton in James Cameron's T2: Judgement Day, and that he had a pretty significant role in the plot: he was the executive at Cyberdyne who eventually led the world towards the robot apocalypse.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Talks Time Travel, An Aging T-800 In Terminator: Genesis
What does he mean about a “younger” T-800? Does that lend any credence to the theory we have been hearing that this Terminatorstory will go back to the 1940s or ‘50s, to follow the scientist who possibly inspired the T-800?

Terminator: Genesis May Add J.K. Simmons As An Alcoholic Detective
J.K. Simmons is easily one of the best character actors in Hollywood today, creating incredibly memorable performances even in the smallest of roles. He's perhaps best known for bringing newspaper owner/all-around asshole J. Jonah Jameson to life in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, but now he's getting set to join a franchise of a much different variety.

Terminator Reboot Casts Game Of Thrones' Emilia Clarke As Sarah Connor
This report follows news from earlier this week that Zero Dark Thirty Jason Clarke is in talks with Paramount Pictures to play the role of John Connor. Not only is it odd that the two actors already share the same last name, it's bizarre that Jason - who is 18 years older than Emilia - will be playing her son.

Terminator Reboot Sets Its Sights On Jason Clarke For John Connor
I remember feeling incredibly disappointed when Shawn Ryan’s Fox cop drama The Chicago Code was cancelled, as the series had so much potential, not to mention a pretty great cast. But it’s hard to regret the situation entirely when taking into account the direction of Jason Clarke’s career.

Terminator Reboot Title Revealed For Better Or Worse
Admittedly a film’s title doesn’t necessarily speak to the quality of the project itself, but one of the most successful franchises in cinema should aim for something memorable and a little less innocuous. I mean, I guess it’s better than something completely ridiculous and title trendy like Age of Terminator: The Last of the Rise of the Fall, but not by much.

Watch Arnold Schwarzenegger Quote His Own Movies For Our Amusement
Whether it be for prank calling purposes or simply our own personal amusement, those Arnold Schwarzenegger soundboards exist for a reason. The Austrian actor has a distinctive accent and a vast catalog of great movie lines. And while many of us probably think we do a pretty great Schwarzenegger impersonation, none are quite as spot-on as the man himself.

Terminator Reboot Moves Its 2015 Release Date
Outside of the release date, there really isn't much that we know about the new Terminator movie. As we reported earlier this month, Thor: The Dark World's Alan Taylor is set to helm the film, which will be a reboot of sorts rather than a sequel to McG's Terminator: Salvation. It's being planned as the first of a new trilogy and screenwriters Patrick Lussier and Laeta Kalogridis are currently developing the script.

The summer of 2015 is starting to sound like it will be one for the record books. In addition to the Terminator reboot, Independence Day 2, and Inside Out that year will also see the release of Star Wars Episode VII, The Avengers 2, Jurassic Park IV, The Fantastic Four reboot, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean 5. It could very well end up being a year that goes down in blockbuster movie history.

Is Dwayne Johnson Being Eyed For Terminator 5?
When G.I. Joe: Retaliation was released back in March, our own Sean O'Connell and Kristy Puchko were on such a Dwayne Johnson high that they imagined what other lagging series could use a boost from The Rock. After all, the actor has earned the nickname "Franchise Viagra" by rejuvenating not only G.I. Joe, but also the Fast & Furious movies (not to mention giving us a reason to care about Journey 2: The Mysterious Island).

Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Somehow Play The Terminator In Terminator 5
The whole point of Terminators, and the entire reason Arnold Schwarenegger was cast as the terrifying cyborg to begin with, is that they are superior to humans. Superior strength, superior looks, superior lack of empathy-- they are built to pull off all the things that humans can't. So what happens when a Terminator comes off the factory line and he's got… wrinkles? And jowls? Has something gone horribly wrong on the Skynet assembly line?

Terminator 5 Might Be Heading Over To Paramount
Megan Ellison's Annapurna Pictures and David Ellison's Skydance Productions, which currently own the rights to the Terminator franchise, is now in negotiations with Paramount Pictures that could result in the major studio serving as distributor for the untitled Terminator 5. With a distributor in place the project would have a more realistic future, but as of now we don't know when they are thinking about starting production or when they are thinking about having a film ready for release.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Confirms He Will Be Back For Terminator 5
Arnold Schwarzenegger had a very rough weekend. The Last Stand, the movie featuring his first starring role since 2003, absolutely bombed at the box office, opening in ninth place and making only $6.2 million (to put that in perspective, it made less than both Django Unchained and Les Miserables, which are both now in their fourth week of release).

But it's far from a one and done situation with the action legend - he is making a full comeback. Beyond this weekend's entertainment he also has the prison thriller The Tomb out later this year and he recently completed production on David Ayer's Ten.

Terminator 5 Will Be Rated R
Much like the Die Hard franchise before it, the folks behind Terminator Salvation made a huge mistake when they decided to make the movie PG-13. The only one in the series that isn't rated R, the move was made in the hopes of maximizing profits, but even that didn't work, as it managed to pull in only $125 million domestically on a $200 million budget.

Justin Lin Talks Terminator, Fast Six
Justin Lin has been considered a respectable director since his 2002 debut Better Luck Tomorrow. And while he has had commercial success with his first two Fast and the Furious installments, the incredible performance of this spring’s Fast Five ($603 million worldwide and a 78% Fresh grade on Rotten Tomatoes) has elevated Lin to superstar status, which he might use to help get the wayward Terminator franchise back on track.
