Forget The Will To Live, Do You Have The Will To Buy Saw VI On DVD?

Can’t wait until next Halloween for another dose of Saw? Well, you’re in luck, because after the New Year you can relive the latest installment of the franchise. On January 26th, 2010, Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release Saw VI on DVD and Blu-ray.

Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) is back for round six. Well, kind of. In an effort to continue what John started, Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) has thrown insurance exec William (Peter Outerbridge) into the game of his life. William must go from room to room, taking part in games that simulate his everyday decisions at the insurance company. He can deny a sick man a loan at the office, but can he dole out a death sentence and watch the victim die right before his eyes?

It’s no surprise that Saw VI is for Saw fans only. Not that the movie isn’t great, it just contains a lot of elements that link back to the previous films. If you really want to get this one, I’d recommend watching the first five first. On the other hand, members of the Jigsaw fan club will be thrilled to hear that the buying options are pretty impressive.

There’s an R-rated theatrical DVD, an unrated DVD, and a Blu-ray edition. All are backed with goodies that’ll surely satiate your thirst for gore. Here’s the list:
