Back in 1996 Turbo Man was the hottest toy for Christmas. But now that it’s 2008, could every kid be begging for Jingle All the Way on Blu-ray this Christmas? With things like the Wii and iPods out there, it’ll have some pretty tough competition, but it is hard to pass up a Christmas family classic.

Every father wants to be his son’s hero, especially on Christmas morning. Unfortunately, for Howard Langston (Arnold Schwarzenegger), achieving that glorious title is not going to be easy. Turbo Man is the hottest toy out there and happens to be the only thing on his son’s wish list. What makes matters even worse is that Howard waits until the last possible moment to pick up his son’s ideal gift. Between the pressure from his wife Liz (Rita Wilson) and the brutal competition with Myron Larabee (Sinbad), a postal worker who is just as desperate to get his hands on a Turbo Man doll, Howard has his hands full on Christmas Eve day.

With slapstick comedy and some rather emotional scenes, Jingle All the Way is a fun film the whole family can enjoy. Everyone knows what it’s like to participate in the frantic last-minute shopping scene the night before Christmas. It’s not fun when you’re the one suffering, but there is no harm in laughing at the hellish experiences of others. And it doesn’t hurt that one of those people you’ll be laughing at is the governor of California. And, to add to the fun, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment includes a number of bonus features to accompany the film: an extended cut to the film, The Making of a Hero featurette, Super Kids featuette, Turbo Man Behind the Mask featurette and deleted scenes. Come December 2nd, you’ll be able to get your hands on this perfect stocking stuffer.
