Steve Spielberg's abundant star power apparently wasn't enough to keep Boom Blox afloat. EA Los Angeles has laid off personell responsible for the Wii puzzle game series.
Senior software engineer Jeff Dixon notes on his LinkedIn profile that he no longer works at EA as of March 2010. His profile also stated that the "Boom Blox team was laid off today," though it seems that statement's been since deleted. Blue's News got a chance to speak with him and learned that 14 employees were laid off in total.
Wii owners aren't the only ones affected by EA's cuts. Dixon told Blue that the team was working on a Project Natal launch title before the axe fell.
