Activision has decided not to wait until E3 to show off more of Call of Duty: Ghosts. They'll be broadcasting a 30-minute special on Sunday to give fans an extended look at the fall shooter.
Call of Duty: Ghosts – All-Access, hosted by Geoff Keighley and Justine Ezarik, will show off new gameplay footage. The wording of the press release ("gameplay levels") suggests that it's single-player footage. During the special, they'll also visit the team at Infinity Ward and chat with them about the development process.
Ghosts envisions a near-future in which America has lost much of its power due to a cataclysmic event. The game centers around a mysterious group of soldiers known as the "Ghosts." This small, elite group is fighting for survival against a new superpower. Fortunately, the Ghosts have a battle dog on their side.
The All-Access special will air in 41 countries on Sunday, June 9th at 2pm ET. You can watch it through CallofDuty.com, among other sites. Xbox 360 users can also view it through the Machinima app.
This year's E3 is going to be jam-packed with news, thanks to the newly-announced Xbox One and PS4. It's going to be tougher than usual for publishers to get some media attention for their games. Activision is smart to follow Nintendo's lead and use channels outside of E3 to promote their projects.
Ghosts will launch on November 5th for PC and consoles.
