Dungeon Defenders PC And Xbox 360 Release Date Is Set

Trendy Entertainment’s upcoming cross-platform, multiplayer tower-defense game, Dungeon Defenders just received its official release date for the PC and Xbox 360 version of the game. The PlayStation 3 version of the game will receive its release date soon.

Now, a lot of tower defense games have been coming out lately and I’m sure a ton of gamers are asking themselves, “What makes Dungeon Defenders any different from the 101 other tower defense games?” That’s a pertinent question, because Trendy Entertainment’s title is one of the projects that makes use of GameSpy’s free networking API for multiplayer functionality and cross-platform technology. Yes, you read it right…cross-platform technology.

Basically, Trendy’s new game will be a cross-platform multiplayer tower defense title that allows PC, PS3, Android and even iOS gamers all compete against each other simultaneously. Cool, right?

The game is currently being optimized for each platform, so that gamepad users, keyboard and mouse players and mobile device owners will each get a comfortable, reliable gameplay experience suited to the platform they’re using.
