E3 2009: 2K Games Releases Borderlands Fact Sheet
Gearboxís new IP, Borderlands, was kept in the dark purposefully while it underwent some major graphical overhauling (I feel sorry for the guy who had to go through and screen check all 500,000 plus guns). Well, now that the game has received some visual distinction itís time for it to own up the press circuits, and what better way to start than by releasing the official fact sheet?
For those of you who have no idea what the game is about, just know that it involves a strong mix of RPG level grinding, dungeon-looting and item acquisition, but with all the intensity and flair of a first-person shooter. Itís like Diablo and Halo got it on one night after getting drunk at a Cliffy B party and nine months later had a baby called Borderlands. Anyway, I think itís the one kind of game we never get and something that truly makes this a standout title for the fall.
One thing to also note is that the game was designed from the ground-up with multiplayer and environmental exploration in mind. So players who enjoy traversing large scenarios filled with evil bandits while combating quad-pedal monsters on customized vehicles with a handful of friends will definitely find a good time in Borderlands.
You can check out the fact sheet below or visit the Official Website for more media on the game. As always, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games for further news and updates regarding all things gaming.
