We don't know a whole lot about God of War: Ascension other than that it has a rocking cooperative mode. The following trailer does little to explain Kratos' situation other than that he's seemingly alive and well and angry as a bird whose kids were stolen by infected green pigs.
The highlight of the trailer is mostly on the gameplay (as it should be). However, it would have been nice to get a little background on what's really going on. Leading into the video SCEA's president Jack Tretton did little to setup the clip other than to let people know that the game is arriving next March in 2013, exclusively for the PS3 and Kratos is still one uber-bad, super-angry mofo.
If there's one thing we learned from that trailer is, kids: always wear a helmet, lest your brain could get raped by mythical swords.
Let's also not forget that supposedly Kratos completed his story arc in the third game, so why he's so pissed off in this game is a little bit of a mystery.
Speaking of pissed off dudes with anger issues, I would pay to see Kratos and Asura go head-to-head, you're talking about some of the most angry guys in the galaxy. That would be one epic fight.
Anyways, if you're done drooling over the trailer above you can learn more about God of War: Ascension by paying a visit to the Official Website. The game is set for release next spring, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
