Hype Get Your Facts Straight With MGS4 Database on N4G
Get Your Facts Straight With MGS4 Database Even if you think it's a great game, you have to admit that Metal Gear Solid 4's serpentine plot can be a little inaccessible to newbies of the series (or gamers who missed a game or two...or whose memory has been ravaged by cannabis). To help you get up to speed, Konami is releasing a Metal Gear Solid 4 Database over Playstation Network today.

As announced on Playstation.Blog, the MGS4 Database is a free downloadable application with loads of information on the Metal Gear universe and all of the previous games in the series. The database, according to the announcement, includes "complete storylines, character profiles, relationship diagrams, and much more!"

For those of you concerned that you'll inadvertently spoil the plot of MGS4 by reading the database, have no fear. Apparently the database scans your MGS4 save files and will conceal any important plot details until you've beaten the game. By the way, Raiden is Snake's son (kidding).
