BioWare has officially announced the rumored "Arrival" downloadable content for Mass Effect 2. "Arrival" will serve as a prelude to the events of Mass Effect 3.

"A deep cover agent is missing in Batarian space, after reporting evidence of an imminent Reaper invasion," reads BioWare's description of the DLC. "Shepard must travel to the edge of the galaxy, rescue the agent, and discover the truth behind the Arrival. Uncover new research and 3 new achievements in this spectacular new adventure for Mass Effect 2."

The new content will cost 560 MS/BioWare Points or $7. It will be released for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on March 29th.
