Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Screenshots Herald Big Boss' Return

Metal Gear Solid fans seeking new wallpaper images will not have to look further. Konami has sent out official HD screenshots from the newly announced game Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.

Ground Zeroes is said to set up the events of Metal Gear Solid 5. It stars Big Boss rather than Solid Snake. No other plot details have been announced.

This will be the first game in the series with an open-world structure. This living, breath world will be rendered by the new Fox Engine, developed by Kojima Productions. The Fox Engine is also said to be able to handle real-time cutscenes.

The platforms for the game were never formally announced. However, the end of the trailer shows logos for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The first demo was rendered on the PC, so perhaps Kojima Productions is developing it for that platform as well.
