Mirror's Edge 2 Spotted At Amazon

Is Mirror's Edge 2 finally going to be announced this summer? It might be, according to Amazon Germany. The retailer is now accepting pre-orders for the first-person parkour action game.

Mirror Edge was set in a dystopian future. Faith is a courier who delivers clandestine packages throughout the city. Players have to jump and climb across rooftops and through buildings to finish their missions. Occasionally they'll have to deal with heavily-armed police as well. While Faith can dispatch enemies with martial arts moves or a scavenged firearm, generally it's best to flee rather than fight.

I enjoyed the original game quite a bit, in spite of a few flaws. It's been a long and frustrating wait for the sequel. EA's then-CEO John Riccitiello insisted back in 2008 that the IP would live on in spite of low sales. Developer DICE, meanwhile, keeps keeps hinting that they're making a sequel as well. It would be nice to get an actual announcement of Mirror's Edge 2 after years of "Oh yeah, we're totally gonna make another one of those."

The Amazon listing says that the game will be on Xbox 360. This probably isn't just a current-gen game, though. If DICE is making Mirror's Edge 2 and it's coming out this fall or later, you'd think it would be coming to Xbox One and PS4 as well.

An official announcement for Mirror's Edge 2 will probably come at E3. That's assuming, of course, that this listing is legitimate.
