One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 Trailer Shows Off Luffy's Musou Attacks
Another trailer has been released for Namco Bandai and Tecmo Koei's upcoming thousand-army fighting game that sees the cast of Straw-Hat Pirates taking down all sorts of nasty bad guys. The trailer looks pretty good and contains a lot of recycled footage from the previous teaser and the full first trailer, but gamers get to see a few more specials on display and a few more bad guys getting their butts kicked.
So far Namco Bandai has been taking it easy with the promotion of the game, and to me it's always more interesting getting excited about a game when the PR is bombarding my e-mail every other day for an AAA title to puff its importance. A game like One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 is a lot more subdued in its media circulation and fans sort of have to hang on to small bits of info and content that leak out every once in a while as opposed to having it shoved in their face every too often. It makes each moment a bit more savory.
Anyway, you can check out the new trailer for One Piece below, courtesy of Dealspwn.
Last year One Piece managed to put Namco Bandai on the top of the market share charts throughout spring (surprising, I know) but the company has been aiming to provide their products and gear their services toward the core gamer, so it's easy for the word of mouth to spread and for sales saturation to take place over a longer period as opposed to some companies who bank on first week sales and this it's good game and goodbye.
You can look for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 to launch for the PlayStation 3 later this year.
