Resident Evil 6 Archives, Anthology Editions Announced For Xbox 360 And PS3

Earlier this week retailers began listing Collector's editions for Resident Evil 6. Today Capcom confirmed the existence of separate CE's for the Xbox 360 and PS3 that provide players with digital versions of many old RE titles.

The Resident Evil 6 Anthology for PS3 comes with RE6 and digital copies of Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, Resident Evil 4 HD, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil: Director's Cut. It's priced at $89.99.

The Xbox 360 CE, Resident Evil 6 Archives, has the same price. However, it comes with a different set of games: Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, Resident Evil 4 HD, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X HD. Capcom is also throwing in a copy of the film Resident Evil Degeneration with this bundle.

The packshots for the Anthology and Archives editions are below. They're both extremely vanilla. I'd say that they're just placeholder box art but they use the proper RE6 font to spell out "Anthology" and "Archives." I'm hoping they put a little more effort into dressing up these packages so that they're not overlooked by the casual shopper; these bundles are a pretty good deal, after all.

RE6 will launch worldwide on October 2nd.
