Ideally, the video game adaptation of a film arrives in stores right around the time the film hits theaters to achieve a sort of marketing perfect storm. The attempt to do that with Terminator Salvation has hit a snag, though. Evolved Games has been forced to recall the PC version of the game in North America.

It turns out that many PC gamers received an error message when trying to install the game. On the game's forums (thanks, 1UP), Evolved revealed that something went awry in the replication process. New copies will be in stores within a few days.

"Details to get a replacement copy will be announced shortly," read the forum post. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused the end users that purchased the defective copy."

The game's also available for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Neither version is apparently affected by the glitch.
