Travis Rice Goes Survival Mode In SSX Trailer
A new promotional video for SSX has been released by EA Sports featuring professional snowboarder Travis Rice talking about the thrills of taking on deadly descents as well as going into survival mode when tackling the more difficult mountains.
SSX is a darker iteration of the over-the-top extreme sports snowboarding title. Players will race down mountains from all over the world, tackling difficult, deadly descents that range from cavernous cliff faces to precipices that lead into seemingly endless pits. The game still contains its trademarked wacky specials and super abilities, as players will pull off impossible stunts over impossible gaps.
You can check out how some of it all plays out in the Travis Rice trailer for SSX below.
I know EA receives a ton of flak over various things (and in most cases, deservedly so) but I think EA Sports is doing right by the SSX franchise with this game. The stages look immensely fun and the tricks are tight. I especially like the darker aesthetic the game carries over its predecessors...it's something different without being too creatively absentminded of its roots.
You can look for SSX to drop for the Xbox 360 and PS3 beginning February 28th. You can pre-order the game right now if you already know it's your cup of tea or you can visit the Official Website to learn more about the game.
