Beenox's upcoming Amazing Spider-Man game made an appearance at last night's Spike Video Game Awards. The trailer offers up a peek at the game's all-new storyline, which serves as an epilogue to the upcoming film.

OSCORP has created an army of insect-like robots to protect New York from biological attacks. These robots soon go haywire and start attacking the city itself. It falls to Spider-Man to stop them.

The trailer even gives us a glimpse of a possible boss fight. An enormous spider-shaped robot surfaces in the park. Spider-Man swings along its body and rips it apart piece by piece.

Amazing Spider-Man is due next summer, roughly the same time that the film starring Andrew Garfield will be released.
