Darksiders studio Vigil Games may never produce another game due to their owner THQ going bankrupt. However, the developer had something to share with fans this week: a new piece of art from Darksiders 2 inspired by Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's box art.

"During the launch of Darksiders II for Wii U, we crafted tribute art around the Darksiders franchise as a tip of the hat to one of our favorite games," Vigil said on the official Darksiders Facebook page. "We felt the community and fans of both Vigil and Darksiders should get to see these awesome pieces of work."

Earlier this week, THQ sold off many of its assets including Saints Row developer Volition and Company of Heroes studio Relic Entertainment. No buyer was found for Vigil Games, though. Vigil's employees were forced to clear out their office.

It's possible that someone could swoop in and buy Vigil. For example, Platinum Games recently expressed interest in a purchase. It seems possible that they might just acquire the Darksiders IP and not the studio, though.

This art could end up being the last thing we see from Vigil. Hope you enjoy it.
