Guardians Of Middle-Earth Gets A Gameplay Trailer

With The Hobbit set to hit theater screens this winter, I have a feeling The Lord of the Rings is about to get very, very popular again. Oh look! Guardians of Middle-Earth is headed to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live this fall! Check out the latest gameplay trailer after the break.

The war for Middle-Earth is raging and the heroes of light and darkness must play their part. In Guardians of Middle-Earth, players compete in 5v5 matches in a massive online battle arena (MOBA), running across giant maps themed after locations from LoTR to battle for dominance.

A game of strategy, teams can coordinate attacks and defensive maneuvers to protect their own towers while attempting to destroy those of their opponents in these top-down scuffles. You'll be able to pick from a list of more than 20 “guardians,” including Gandalf, Sauron and Gollum, who are shown off in this latest trailer for fans of the popular heroes (or anti-heroes, or evil villains...take your pick). Each guardian has a unique set of abilities, so mixing and matching the best five-man army can mean the difference between victory and defeat.
