Charlize Theron's Cans Dominate New Million Ways To Die In The West TV Spot

Seth MacFarlane’s Western spoof A Million Ways to Die in the West was one of a handful of summer features that brought new footage to New York City to air during the MTV Movie Awards. Check out the TV spot above.

The clip, which was posted on Universal’s official YouTube page, sells the presence of the baritone-voiced Liam Neeson right up front. MacFarlane’s basically telling his fans, "Yes, I worked with a foul-mouthed bear last time, but I have freaking Liam Neesons in my corner now!" You already know two valets who’ll be in the theater on opening night.



The whole West clip basically sells MacFarlane’s Oscar-winning co-stars. After setting up Neeson, the TV spot moves on to "The Bad-Ass" – Charlize Theron, as the butch frontier woman who is going to teach MacFarlane’s mousy non-cowboy how to stand up to Neeson’s notorious outlaw. It’s all spelled out in the official synopsis Universal sent out a few weeks back.
Seth MacFarlane directs, produces, co-writes and plays the role of the cowardly sheep farmer Albert in A Million Ways to Die in the West. After Albert backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. But when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test."

A Million Ways to Die in the West is MacFarlane’s follow up to Ted, which broke the bank in the summer of 2012. While he soon will be working on the sequel to that comedy (with West co-star Amanda Seyfried), he hopes to surprise audiences with another unexpected hit. If this is half as funny as Ted, audiences will flock come May 30.
