It’s been a while since we’ve heard the name “Uwe Boll” being tossed around other than as a measurement of mediocrity. I almost didn’t know what to do this year, not having a new Boll “masterpiece” to start the year with. But 2007 might not end without a Boll picture in theaters.

Richard at Filmstalker found a new trailer for Boll’s latest video game adaptation In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a trailer for this one. In fact, I’m pretty sure this was supposed to see release last fall but then disappeared off the rader. To be honest with you, I’m not even sure this is a “new” trailer because it seems vaguely reminiscent of the one I remember seeing attached to Bloodrayne, but I could be wrong. This is Uwe Boll we’re talking about. It’s not like I dedicate a lot of brain cells to remembering things about him… not after he’s killed so many brain cells already.

Personally I still have no real hope for this movie. I mean, Burt Reynolds as a king? Ray Liotta looks over the top with his performance, not that I’d expect any less since Ben Kingsley was as well. At least Jason Statham can kick some ass. I don’t see Boll interfering with that too much… although I’ve been wrong before. Take a look:
