I’m still not on board with this whole creepy, motion-capture animation thing that Robert Zemeckis insists on doing but at least A Christmas Carol should have significantly fewer hollow-eyed children in it than The Polar Express. That should drastically decrease the creepiness factor and hopefully, make the whole thing a little more watchable.

If nothing else, the poster art they’ve been using for it looks spectacular. Here’s a new one, this time from Germany. No that isn’t a top hat on Ebeneezer’s head, that’s candle smoke in the wafting into a hat-like shape. And wait, that’s not a candle but a ghost formed into a candle-like shape! Fantastically clever.
