If there's a theme to this first Potter trailer, it seems to be wand waving. Everyone's waving their wand around, flailing, firing, stabbing. In the process, I think director David Yates does a pretty good job of getting his message across: There will be war. No more wandering around in a dank, dusty castle. This Harry Potter movie is trading on action and adventure in a way seen by none of the others before it.
