Pierce Brosnan, Jessica Alba And Kristin Scott Thomas To Learn How To Make Love Like An Englishman

Pierce Brosnan is actually Irish, but given his time spent playing the most famous English hero of the 20th century we can understand why he's a fit for his latest project. Deadline is reporting that Brosnan, Jessica Alba, and Kristin Scott Thomas are all set to star in How To Make Love Like An Englishman, the new film from director Tom Vaughan (Extraordinary Measures).

Described as a "sexually charged romantic comedy," the film will see the former James Bond star as a freewheeling Cambridge University professor who starts to think that he should change his ways when meeting the perfect woman (Thomas). The situation is made complicated, however, when he learns that he has impregnated her step-sister (Alba). Newcomer Matthew Newman penned the original screenplay, and the source says production is scheduled to start up in September.

Brosnan's latest film, Susanne Bier's Love Is All You Need, actually just hit theaters this past week after a long run on the festival circuit, and will soon be seen in the Nick Hornby adaptation A Long Way Down and the Joel Hopkins comedy Love Punch. Alba, meanwhile, recently lent her voice to the animated feature Escape From Planet Earth and later this year will be seen in a number of films, including the indie comedy A.C.O.D., the grindhouse thriller Machete Kills, and the anticipated sequel Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Thomas will next be featured alongside Ryan Gosling in Nicolas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives, which will be out this summer after it debuts at the Cannes Film Festival.
