Star Wars Official Site Updated![]()
It’s coming. The final chapter in the convoluted prequel saga is nearly here. More importantly, the last you’ll probably ever see of Star Wars in movie theaters is nearly here. Whatever you think of the prequels, if you’re any sort of Star Wars nut (as I sadly am) there has to be a little place inside you approaching this event with a bit of sadness and excitement.
In response, Cinema Blend’s uber-talented logo artist Matt Sinopoli has gone crazy and loaded us up with a ton of Star Wars related Cinema Blend logos to splash their way across the top corner of our pages. Almost right in step with that, StarWars.com has converted over to heavy duty Episode III promotion. They’ve changed over the site to devote itself almost exclusively to Revenge of the Sith. Instead of navigating through tons of pages filled with ads begging for people to pay to be Hyperspace members, the site now looks a little more like a traditional movie official site. Perhaps not so surprisingly to anyone who has ever tried to play a Lucasarts game online, their new site interface is still a little buggy. It took me more than a few tries to get it to display the wallpapers page for instance, and even more tries to get out of it once that page failed to load. Still, if you’ve been engulfed by the same sad, deluded Star Wars fever that’s taken hold of me and forced me to buy Princess Leia action figures, then the newly jazzed up StarWars.com official site is where you’ll want to be to find great things like the wookie closeup I’ve posted with this story. Check it out here. |
