Both Steve Carell and Tina Fey are some of the busiest comedic stars in Hollywood. While the former just saw the release of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and has Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher, Anchorman: The Legend Continues, Despicable Me 2, and the indie The Way, Way Back due out later this year, the latter was just seen alongside Paul Rudd in Admission, is currently filming The Muppets...Again! in Europe, and will soon start production on the ensemble dramedy This Is Where I Leave You. The duo is so busy, in fact, that they've been forced to postpone their post-Date Night reunion.

Just last week it looked as though the two former NBC stars were set to join forces once again for the comedy Mail-Order Groom, but now it appears that those plans have been put on hold. Deadline has learned that both actors are too busy right now to fit the project into their schedules, and that the project has instead been pushed to next year. While Fey will instead be working with director Shawn Levy (who, ironically, also directed Date Night) on This Is Where I Leave You, Carell will instead be focusing his attention towards the adaptation of Judith Viorst children’s book Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, in which he will be playing the titular disgruntled youth's father.

Date Night wasn't a great movie by any means, but Carell and Fey did make for a funny leading couple and had some really good chemistry. It's too bad that we'll have to wait a while before we see them on screen together again, but at least a delay is better than a cancellation.
